Leftwich Chapman

We recently had the privilege of visiting Leftwich Chapman here in Lubbock.  It’s a company that mainly specializes in a providing and installing a great variety of types of carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile. The tour included viewing all of these materials and learning which products can best suit different venues.
Our first stop in the showroom tour included hardwood flooring. They have a great variety of types of wood, leather, bamboo, etc.  It was an awesome experience in that we were able to interact with several samples of hardwood flooring that were actually used as the floor in this particular part of the showroom.  We learned that there are different ways in which wood flooring is assembled. They can be glued to a concrete slab or they can be jointed together, so that they can easily be removed whenever.
Next we went to the carpeting area of the showroom. They have an extensive variety of carpets and carpet tiles to offer. Some were definitely more beautiful to see and to touch than others but that typically was also shown in their prices. However, carpet is still the cheapest type of flooring to use compared to hardwood, laminate, tile, concrete, etc. In the carpet section we also learned about a product called smart strand.  This product is stain resistant and a great all around type of material that is now being used in carpets. It is very durable and it is economically friendly since it saves about a gallon of gasoline per year per every seven square yards.
We then continued our tour to the tile flooring and counter section of the showroom. It was truly incredible the amount of shapes, sizes, colors, textures, designs, etc that tile companies are created these days. Any kind of tile or tile design imaginable can be now be created for backsplashes, bathrooms, counters, walls, floors, etc. There is no limit and that was very exciting to see. I enjoyed this section of the showroom the most.  Yet, when I look at all the beautiful tile, especially the small half inch tiles, I can’t imagine how long and gruesome it is to install that, but ultimately in the end all that work is most definitely worth it.
Leftwich Chapman was an awesome place to experience and get a feel for types of flooring. The tour was a great opportunity.
